The biggest story of the day was newly minted Full Tilt Pro Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad booking a win in the PokerStars Sunday 500.

With her first World Series of Poker just days away, the online phenom grabbed a bit of momentum beating respected young pro Christian "charder30" Harder heads-up to earn the $87,400 first-place prize.

The $530 buy-in $500k Guaranteed event drew 997 this week.

But the biggest payday was still being handed out in the PokerStars Sunday Million. This week 8,120 players dropped the $215 buy-in for a chance at a piece of a $1,624,000 prize pool.

In the end, zwuerbs outlasted them all to collect $230,852.32.

Over on Full Tilt Poker, rising online poker star kirbynator proved his May 2 FTOPS XVI main event win was no fluke, winning the $750k Guaranteed for $132,787.50.

The $200+$16 event drew 3,601 players.

Meanwhile, the $240+$16 Sunday Brawl drew 2,575, creating $515,000 prize pool.

PoutsoKefalos managed to grab the lion's share, winning the title and $104,545.00, but 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure fourth-place finisher Benjamin "TheStein" Zamani took third for $49,955.00.

But with millions guaranteed across the board, the sheer number of six-figure scores on offer made it one of the richest Sundays in online poker history.

If one required any indication that online poker is alive and well they need to look no further than the first event on the SCOOP schedule.

An amazing 27,305 players registered for the $22 Six-Max No-Limit Hold'em event, creating a $540,000 prize pool that smashed PokerStars' $250,000 guarantee.

After a three-way chip chop that left $5k for first and hexchen3006 with what looked like first-place money already, he booked the win, earning $57,365.43.

But that was just the beginning of the 15-day SCOOP schedule with 38 events at three different buy-in levels.

Event 1's mid-level $215 NLHE Six-Max event drew 6,783 players creating another guarantee-breaking $1,356,600 prize pool that ensured the top three players would all earn six figures. This time it was Dantes_11 who earned the title, banking $203,493.

Finally, Event 1's top-level $2,100 NLHE Six-Max event saw 788 players register, creating a $1,576,000 prize pool with $277,848.80 for first and the top four all grabbing six figures. At press time this event was still three-handed between ArbaChamesh, baloo1962 and BadcardsAA.

The second event on the SCOOP Schedule is a two-day NLHE affair that also kicked off Sunday.

At the $2,100 top level, 1,077 registered, creating a $2.154 million prize pool. Xaston has the overnight chip lead with 33 players remaining, but names like Victor Ramdin, Johan "busto_soon" Van Til, David "RugDoctor" Williams and Jonathan "Iftari" Jaffe are close.

The tournament will resume at 5 p.m. ET with first paying $387,720 and the top five finishers all booking a six-figure score.

The mid-level $215 event drew 9,632 players. Currently 72 are left with thecooler992 leading a field that includes Ari "Bodog Ari" Engel and Ryan "g0lfa" D'Angelo. Here, the top four will earn six figures with $280k reserved for first.

Finally, Event 2's low-level $22 event attracted 26,200 players, creating a $524,000 prize pool. There are 23 left with MOOSE86GGHS in the lead in the chase for a $47,160 first-place prize. All three events resume at 5 p.m. ET.

Not to be outshined, the final day of Full Tilt Poker's FTOPS XVI drew huge numbers and created a few massive prize pools of its own.

The FTOPS $2,100 Two-Day NLHE event that drew 946 entrants Saturday ended Sunday with urbandb888 taking down the title and $450k first-place prize while FTOPS #28, a $240+$16 NLHE event, drew 4,997 players with Dihxm grabbing the much sought after FTOPS jersey and $191,020 top prize.

The $150+$13 FTOPS #29 NLHE with Rebuys event also went down, attracting 1,748 players and 3,548 rebuys to the Full Tilt felt with ambiguosity outlasting the field to rake in a $192,228.90 score.

Finally, the $600+$40 FTOPS Main Event, hosted by newly inked Full Tilt Pro Annette Obrestad, drew 4,534 players.

The $3 million guaranteed prize pool ensured the top five would all earn six figures with $513,000 reserved for first place. A deal was struck five-handed and Kirbynator went on to take the title.

Better known as Annette_15, the online poker phenom is one of the most successful players in the history of the virtual game and has already won more than $3 million in live tournaments as well.

The one-time Betfair sponsored pro's status as an online poker legend was cemented when she once played blind in a $4 online tournament and booked a win.

But having turned a $9 freeroll win into a million-dollar bankroll, Obrestad is now considered one of the top tournament players on the planet.

Her win in the inaugural World Series of Poker Europe main event three years ago, just the fourth live event she'd ever played, made her the youngest WSOP bracelet winner in history and earned her the biggest score for a woman in the history of the game.

Already this year, the 21-year-old has a final-table appearance at the 2010 Aussie Millions main event and she will be looking for big results in her first WSOP in Las Vegas beginning at the end of May.

The announcement was made over the weekend and Obrestad's first role as a Full Tilt Pro was to host the FTOPS XVI Main Event Sunday.

A total of 8,776 runners logged on for a shot at Sunday Million glory, but it was 147_star who took the title and $258,194.60 without agreeing to a chop.

One of the early events of the 16th edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series almost outdrew the Million.

FTOPS XVI's seventh event, a $120+$9 No-Limit Hold'em Knockout event hosted by two-time WSOP bracelet winner Greg Mueller, drew 8,586 players, smashing the $800k guaranteed prize pool.

In the end, LuvYouLongTime shipped the $137,376 win and the coveted FTOPS Jersey.

The biggest names in the game were shut out of the two other FTOPS titles on offer Sunday and in many of the biggest online tournaments across the web.

However, Justin "JP OSU" Potter managed a fifth-place finish in the Sunday 500 on PokerStars to book a $25,418.25 score while Full Tilt Pro Jon "PearlJammer" Turner came fourth in the PokerStars $109 Rebuy to collect $35,227.50.

WPT title holder Vivek Rajkumar also made eighth in the Sunday Mulligan on Full Tilt, cashing for $5,598.60.

Finally, UB's $200K Guaranteed drew 1,036 creating a $207,200 prize pool.

POLIQUIN took the win and $38,500 after chopping second-place finisher JUSTAHOBBY in for $35,429.96.

Brown was perhaps the most notable player to make a final table on another busy Sunday of online tournaments.

The PokerStars Sunday Million drew 9,235 to create a prize pool of $1.8 million. The biggest chunk of that prize pool went to Brazilian player Mr Brizza who beat allaces43 heads-up to take the title after the two made a deal.

Mr Brizza took $243,843 while allaces43 settled for $213,843.

TheConcept78 outlasted all 4,694 entrants in the Sunday Warm-Up to take down a $147,310 first place prize.

Meanwhile, in the Sunday 500, Brown nearly won, but couldn’t get by jkoon1985 and Marinersheep who finished one-two. jkoon1985 secured $91,305 for the first-place finish.

Brown’s last live cash game back in February in a preliminary event at the L.A. Poker Classic.

Over on Full Tilt, the MiniFTOPS concluded with its $55 main event. The tournament pulled 2,475 players creating a $965k prize pool.

The number-heavy online player “0 – 190682 – 0” won the event for $142,037.

Beyond the finale of Mini-FTOPS, Full Tilt was also hosting its monthly $1 million guarantee. A total of 2,218 players bought-in creating a $1.1 million prizepool. Jeremy “endlessj83” Menard won the event for $180,123.

deuceballz outlasted all 2,532 players in the Sunday Brawl to win $102,839.

Finally, UB featured an all-star line up at the final table of its $200k Guaranteed Tournament, including Rayan “RKRUOK” Nathan and Danny “THE_D_R_Y” Ryan. Up-and-coming Lauren “SUPERMODL” Kling also finished in 16th for $1,298.

Ryan finished in fifth for $11k, Nathan in fourth for $13,605 and unknown player SALTTHEEARTH outlasted all 1,046 players to win $46,759.

Because PokerStars dealt its 40th billion hand on Friday the online room bumped the guarantee on the Sunday Million up to a massive $4 million, more than the prizepool of the ongoing North American Poker Tour Venetian event.

Online players responded in a big way with 36,169 players paying the $215 buy-in to get in on the action.

The field utterly destroyed the guaranteed prizepool taking it all the way up to $7.2 million making it one of the largest online tournaments in history, falling just short of past WCOOP Main Events.

There were numerous Team PokerStars Pros on hand for the event with Chad Brown, Jude Ainsworth and Gavin Griffin all making minor cashes. Griffin was the final Team PokerStars Pro to fall, making it to the final 100 but then busting in 95th place for $6,501.

The final table was made of mostly unknown players outside of 2006 WSOP Main Event eighth place finisher Erik “lirarerik” Friberg.

Friberg ended up finishing in fourth place for $282,118 after making an ill-timed shove with king-five.

The heads-up battle came down to RichieRichZH and lankeshwar. It was a back and forth battle until RichieRichZH finally took control winning 29 of the final 33 hands.

RichieRichZH won $1.1 million, the biggest payout in the history of the Sunday Million, while lankeshwar had to settle for $745,774 for second.

The rest of the big PokerStars tournaments on Sunday seemed like an afterthought but the Sunday Warm-Up and Sunday 500 still drew big numbers. homanga won the Sunday Warm-up for $167,100, rusostreet won the Sunday 500 for $126,000.

Meanwhile over on Full Tilt another edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series came to an end with four tournaments on Sunday.

The biggest event was the $500 buy-in FTOPS XV Main Event, which drew 720 players to form a prizepool of $2.8 million. The final table was dominated by unknown online players with JackQKA becoming the ultimate victor.

JackQKA officially made $482,647 for his efforts although there was a seven-way chop that meant he took a significant pay cut.

The other FTOPS XV results included BadcardsAA winning Event #22 for $430,000, BigMich08 taking Event #25 for $194,763 and finally -Alt_F4_lIlIlll winning Event #26 for $29,249.
