The Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) started in May 2008, is a major poker tour in Latin America. The LAPT is sponsored by PokerStars, like its counterparts, the European Poker Tour (2004), Asia Pacific Poker Tour (2007), and North American Poker Tour (2010).[1]
In its first year, the LAPT was held in three Latin American countries, they were:
- LAPT Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on May 3-5, 2008
- LAPT San José in Costa Rica on May 22-24, 2008
- LAPT Punta del Este in Uruguay on August 7-9, 2008
Its second season in underway.
